About Rose State Media Group
The Rose State Media Group, which includes the Rose State College newspaper and magazine, has proudly served the campus and the surrounding community since 1972. This award-winning publication is released monthly, providing readers with the latest updates on campus news, local events and global happenings. The team, led by students, offers them a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in their chosen field.
Expanding its reach, the Media Group has embraced modern technologies, incorporating print and online advertising, interactive newspapers, and promotional materials for various campus divisions. The staff is committed to accuracy, timeliness, and relevance, and is actively involved in the Oklahoma Press Association, Oklahoma Collegiate Media Association, Associated Collegiate Press, College Media Association and the Society of Professional Journalists. We are dedicated to delivering the truth in a thoughtful, clear and engaging manner, ensuring our content resonates with our diverse readership.
The Rose State Media Group is based on 15th Street in Midwest City, Oklahoma. The newspaper, The 15th Street News, reflects this location in its name, while our magazine, launched in 2018, continues the theme with the title The 6420.
Our tagline, "Find your voice, find yourself," reflects our role as journalists—committed to giving a voice to both the majority and the marginalized, and ensuring that those often unheard have the opportunity to share their stories.
We welcome article submissions from all members of the Rose State College community, so if you have a story to tell, we’d love to hear from you!
