There are many common household pets. Dogs, cats, birds, fish and even reptiles. What if we had decided to domesticate bears the same way we domesticated dogs and cats? Here are six reasons why bears would make good pets
1. Bears sleep constantly
Animals are always adorable when they’re asleep and more likely than not will be less likely to cause trouble if they’re sleeping away and dreaming about catching their next fish.
2. Bears are fat
Fat animals are almost always cute. Unfortunately, for many dogs and cats, being overweight can cause health complications and end up being expensive to properly care for. Luckily for bears, being fat means they’re right on track to being the ultimate example of health.
3. The possibility of miniature bears
In the same way that dogs have become less aggressive versions of wolves, it’s possible that by domesticating bears, a new smaller species could exist. Imagine being able to hold a tiny bear in your arms. That’s the dream.
4. Ring the doorbell and get greeted by a happy bear
Imagine visiting your friend and being greeted by an excited bear who is happy to see you. Eventually, you’ll start carrying berries in your pockets to give to your buddy, as a little treat.
5. Sharing a snack
Bears are omnivores. This means you can easily share your snacks with your new best friend. Berries are fan favorites.
6. There are many different species of bears
Black bears, brown bears, polar bears, panda bears and many more. Each with their own personality and charm. Which would you choose?
