“I definitely contributed to the subpar team ERA last season, and the other returning pitchers are aware of that team ERA as well. In JUCO baseball, you are going to face good hitters,” Schuman said. “So, giving up a hit or two in one inning can’t get to your head or it will make it way more difficult to keep your composure.” This season looks like it could be a defining one for Schuman as he plans to continue his pitching career at either Oklahoma Christian or Southwest Oklahoma State.
