10: The Last of Us
    Considered one of the best games of the last decade by many; The Last of Us is known for its rich, emotional story and resource-managing gameplay. Set in a post-apocalyptic setting, this game tells the story of Joel, a survivor who lost his daughter during the start of the outbreak, traveling across the country with a young girl by the name of Ellie. The Last of Us has won many awards for its story, performances and audio.

9: Tetris
    While quarantined it's good to keep the mind busy. Tetris seemingly never ends. Though Tetris came out in 1984, the game still holds up. In the past few years, the game has seen many revivals with new tricks and gameplay styles. Tetris is a game that will keep up quick thinking and fast reflexes.

8: Bitlife
Though not on any console, instead, it’s on mobile phones, Bitlife is a life simulation game with a more wacky twist. Much like Tetris, there is no exact ending to Bitlife. Simply start up the game and start your new life. The game’s events are completely randomized which means no one playthrough will be the same. The game features minigames, collectibles and challenges, aside from its main gameplay.

7: Persona 5
 Being in quarantine can cause one to miss certain aspects of life: going to school, hanging out with friends or even changing the heart of another. That’s what Persona 5 is all about. Though the main story of Persona 5 revolves around the main character, Joker, and his friends entering the psyche of others’ to change their hearts to become better people, the game gives the player many times to participate in pretty normal activities by themselves or with their in-game friends. These activities include going to school, fishing, going to the doctor, shopping, taking care of plants, going to the movies and much more.

6: Red Dead Redemption 2 
    Set in the Wild West, Red Dead Redemption 2 is a game full of stories, people, activities and well, world. With such a large world to explore, this game takes hours to complete and even more hours to discover everything it has to offer. Become a person people learn to adore, or become a known outlaw that everyone hates, the choice is up to you in Red Dead Redemption 2. Not only this, but given a multiplayer mode, players can now explore and interact in the world of Red Dead together.

    No one can deny the popularity of Fortnite and with that popularity comes many people to play with. Players are always on the game, so no one will ever be without a match to play in. The game includes many coletiables to customize your character and with different seasons come even more items to collect.

4: Stardew Valley
    Ever wanted to build your own farm? Well now you can. Stardew Valley is a game that will bring a sense of calm while playing. Though the starting area may be hard to work with, through enough managing and care anyone can create a farm empire in this game. Players can also do other things such as slay monsters, mine, interact with nearby townspeople, and much more.

3: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
    The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is a game that has it all. Back in 2015 it won game of the year and the game is regarded by many to be their favorite game of all time. Though it’s the 3rd game in it’s series, the game doesn’t function on a need-to-know basis. The Witcher 3 also introduces a large world for the player to explore and many secrets to find. Including a large number of side quests, many collectibles, 2 DLCs (Downloadable Content,) quick pace fighting system, choice driven story and multiple endings. Not only does The Witcher 3 take a long time to finish, the game has enough to make a player go back and play through it again.

2: Skyrim
    Much like The Witcher 3, Skyrim is known for its large world and loads of things to discover. But unlike The Witcher 3, where the player is a concrete character, Skyrim allows for more of a role playing experience. Become a powerful mage, master thief, stone-cold soldier in an army, great adventurer, quiet life family-man, quick assassin, great hero of the world, the possibilities are endless.  Not only does Skyrim have multiple DLCs and other content that can be purchased through the game’s Creation Club, but the game has a large modding community that adds hundreds, no thousands, of more hours to the game.

1: Animal Crossing: New Horizons
    Recently released on March 20th of this year, Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a game that never ends. While the game consists of collecting many items such as bugs, fossils, ect, the game focuses on a new aspect of the series, building an island. The player’s island can be customized in hundreds of ways and putting the older gameplay of decorating the player’s home, different holidays, talking to townspeople, and more, there is always something to do in game. Players can even invite their friends from real life to their island to play around in.
